Dear Friends,
Thanks to you, the Clearwater's precious Roadless Areas were strongly represented this past week! At all three public meetings in proximity to Clearwater Country the vast majority of speakers spoke to the illegitimacy of the current process, the need for protection of all Clearwater and Idaho Roadless Areas, and a return to the original roadless rule.
In a packed Clearwater County courtroom in Orofino, nearly thirty citizens spoke for the Clearwater's rich biodiversity, clean water, and clean air. Eight years ago, Orofino was considered by many "Ground-Zero" for the Roadless debate. Now, it appears, support for Idaho roadless areas has only grown.
