Wild Winter Snowshoe Trek

Join Friends of the Clearwater (FOC) for this family-oriented adventure in the Palouse Divide area on February 21, 2009.  Come dressed in your warmest winter garb and celebrate the beauty and intrigue of winter with community members.  After this fun and leisurely trek, featuring unique educational surprises along the trail, we will retire to the Palouse Divide Lodge for warm hot chocolate and conversation.  Snowshoes for the walk can be rented in advance for 17 dollars from University of Idaho Campus Recreation Outdoor Rentals (208-885-6170, Monday through Friday 10 to 4:30) or reserved and rented in advance free of charge from Hyperspud Sports (208-883-1150, Monday through Friday 10 to 6, Saturday 9 to 6, and Sunday 12 to 4).  For the younger participants, bring sleds for towing and sledding too.  Please meet for carpooling beneath the Rosauers sign in the parking lot at 411 North Main Street in Moscow, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, February 21.  We will return to town by 5 p.m.  For more information or to RSVP, please email FOC at foc@friendsoftheclearwater.org or call us at 208-882-9755.
