A Day on the North Fork Clearwater

in

Greetings from the southwestern portion of Pot Mountain Roadless Area. You can see Chateau Falls behind us. Chateau Creek dumps into Cave Creek here and then it heads south a short distance where it flows into the North Fork Clearwater River. We have been staying at Washington Creek campground surveying streams to choose a good location for the upcoming biomonitoring workshop August 8-9, led by Dr. Fred Rabe. Dr. Rabe is one of  FOC's Board of Directors: http://www.friendsoftheclearwater.org/about-foc/board-directors

The Macgillivray's and yellow warblers sang to us and the spotted sandpipers and swallow tails shared the warm beaches of the North Fork with us. The water is still cold!
