Autumn is upon us! That means sweaters, spawning Chinook, and two major events to support Friends of the Clearwater.
Wine & Wilderness – Online Oct. 7th
Our Wine & Wilderness fundraiser has been postponed once again. Many past attendees expressed concern due to COVID infection rates in our region. We decided to postpone rather than hold an event with very low attendance or play roulette with inclement weather for an outdoor venue. Now we have two years worth of donated wine on our hands and nowhere for it to go. Luckily, wines tend to age well!
This event is a major source of funding in fall. We can’t wait for COVID to disappear to keep fundraising, and the forest can’t wait for us to defend it when it becomes convenient again.
We are excited to announce our first Art & Wine Online Auction.
This October we will be auctioning our donated red blends, Syrahs, Pinot Noirs, and several white wines through 32auctions.com. Thank you so much for your support. Our public lands need it more than ever.
Please plan to bid or donate between Thursday, October 7th and Sunday, October 17th for remarkable Paso Robles wines and Bill Voxman’s stunning local photography.

We will send out a list of available wines and art in the coming weeks. Thank you so much for your flexibility on this, folks. It takes a village and I’m happy to be figuring it out with people like you.
Annual Meeting – Seeking Auction Items
Likewise, our annual meeting will be held as a fully online event. It is scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. PST on Friday, November 12th. We will hear from staff about the year in review, meet potential future board members, watch a video about our dear Clearwater, and raise some money through an online auction.
Speaking of that online auction, if you have any items you would like to donate for the auction, please contact Paul (phone or email works) or stop by the office in Moscow. Outdoor gear, books, coupons to regional businesses, and any other wacky (but legal) items will be great.
Thanks again everyone for your support. See you in November!
