Hey friends!
A reminder that we’ve got a LOT of events coming up for FOC, and we could use some help! Please email me at paul@friendsoftheclearwater.org with the shift you can cover!
Ren Fair
Crepe Prep – Sunday, April 24th (9am-3pm)
We will be prepping crepes on Sunday, April 24th from 9am-3pm at the Moscow Middle School kitchen. There is a shift from 9-12, and one from 12-3pm. Mixing batter, flipping crepes, bashing berries, and storing everything in preparation for the fair will take a fair bit of work. There will be snacks! (but no promises about licking the spoon). Roughly 5 people for each shift would be great.
Ren Fair – Saturday and Sunday, April 30th and May 1st, (8am-5pm)
This is where the magic happens! We need a few people to help run the food and someone to run the register. Shifts are 8-11am, 11-2pm, and 2pm-5pm.
Other events coming up
Earth Day – Biodiversity Ball! – Friday, April 22nd (7pm-1am)
Come to Hunga Dunga for live music, dancing, and a costume contest! It’s free (recommended donation of $10 to cover band expenses) and open to all ages! Alcohol available to those 21 and over. Moscow band Mother Yeti and Boise funk band Lounge on Fire will both be playing.
I’m planning on going dressed as a Western tanager (or maybe a sage grouse), hope to see you there! You can check out the event on Facebook.
Earth Day – Climate March! – Saturday, April 23rd (10:30am-1pm)
The morning after we will be marching between East City Park and Friendship Square in downtown Moscow. This is in part a criticism of the political establishment (scientists are going strike now, to emphasize how little meaningful action is happening) but also a celebration of the diverse life and landscapes for which we are fighting for. Bring signs, noise makers, a joyful heart and a rain coat! You can also check out this event on Facebook. March, listen to speakers, network with other activists, and show that Idaho isn’t going to be left behind in the fight for climate security.
Gary Retirement – Sunday, May 29th – 5pm-9pm
Also in Moscow, but this will be at the 1912 center. It’s a potluck in the style of the November meeting, so please bring something to share! We really need an idea of how many people will be there, so please RSVP by emailing me at paul@friendsoftheclearwater.org or calling the office at 208-882-9755. Additionally, if you have photos of Gary you’d like to include in the slideshow, please email them to jeremiah.busch@gmail.com.
Hope to see you there!
