Howdy everyone. The end of the year approaches! Snow dusts the high country, tamarack needles return to the earth, and some bear begins a food coma that puts our turkey binges to shame. We’ve had a lot going on here at FOC, cold weather notwithstanding.
Annual Meeting – Thanks!
- Volunteers Leo Scheibe and Eric Jensen, Volunteers of the Year.
- Activist Michelle Dietrich, a Montana local who has been fighting an uphill battle in the Bitterroot valley for grizzlies and wilderness.
- The Flathead-Lolo-Bitterroot Citizen’s Taskforce, for their longstanding work
- Longtime board member Al Espinosa, who recieved this year’s Plank award for his decades of effort to preserve the wild clearwater. You can read more about these awards on our website. (LINK)
Thanks again everyone who could make it.
Online Silent Auction – Giving
A silent auction usually accompanies the annual meeting. This year (just like September’s Wine and Wilderness auction) we are holding it online. We are just about 1/3rd of the way to our fundraising goal! If you are in the area (or are willing to get your item mailed) please bid on an item or two. All the proceeds go to Friends of the Clearwater, and you definitely don’t want to miss out on gift certificates, handmade artwork, wine, books, FOC swag, and outdoor gear we have to offer.
Again, go to this website: 32auction.com/clearwater2021. It’s free to bid (no need to put your financiual information on the web). When it finishes on December 1st (Giving Tuesday) mail or bring a check to the office and pick up your win!
