Wine & Wilderness
Howdy Friends!
Hope you all been having a great week. A chilly weekend is on its way, and what better way to enjoy a cozy night in than a luxury wine from Paso Robles, California?
Wine and Wilderness, our annual wine tasting event, was cancelled last year due to COVID. Delta is still here, but defending our wildlands can’t wait. So this year we are taking things online, and now have two years worth of wine for you to peruse. All you have to do is go to www.32auctions.com/wildwine and make a free account to bid. The auctions start today at 5pm and will continue until October 17th at 9 p.m. Pacific time. We’ll send out another message when it’s coming to a close.
Please check out the amazing wine and art we have available. A special shout-out to member Eric Jensen for helping put this on – some of the wines he brought back from California simply cannot be bought in the Pacific Northwest. This really is a chance to try something extraordinary, like this Syrah blend from Nicora signed by the winemaker himself.
The art comes from longtime FOC member Bill Voxman. His black and white landscapes are incredible, especially in person. He has generously donated to support our cause. Take a look and see if there is one you’d like!
Unfortunately, we will not be mailing wine. So if you bid, you’ll have to pick it up. Special exceptions can be made (I drive to many communities in the region) but that would be on a case by case basis.
We miss seeing you folks in person and trying these wines out together. But until then, please treat yourself for a good cause.

Annual Meeting Online
Out of an abundance of caution, we are moving our annual November meeting and silent auction online as well. The new date is Friday, November 12th, from 6-7:30 pm. Please RSVP by emailing foc@friendsoftheclearwater.org and we’ll send you the zoom link and password.
If you have items you would like to donate for our online auction, let us know! Outdoor gear, art, gift cards, stays at your cabin on the Salmon, and whatever else you can think of would be great to include. Call or stop by the office with your item and we’ll happily get you a tax-deductible receipt for it’s fair market value.
Thank you everyone for your support!
